Disappointing buy. Got it on impulse as I wanted a purple liner. I used to use Bonne Bell pencil liners that were 99 cents and far superior to this. It does not give a defined, pigmented line. Update: discontinued. Of course. Now using Clinique cake in Muted Brown, which is similarly sheer, though not grey. I have been on the hunt for a grey liner that is not too dark for my fair complexion, one that can also be worn on my waterline.
I really like the color which is a very natural looking yellow-gray kind of brown-black, but this smudges in the heat and that's a dealbreaker for me. The texture is also too soft for my liking; it's easy to apply too much product when tightlining and that also doesn't help with the smudging issue. About reviewer 86 reviews. When my Chanel Pomme de Pin was discontinued I turned to this.
This is okay, doesn't stay on my waterline, works fine for along my upper lashline. It's not that smooth and does skip a little when applying. It doesn't smear when used on upper lashline which is nice but I found the tip a bit too wide to get a nice thin line.
